Used French oak wine barrel - A grade. Use it decoratively, as a serving table in your wine room or wine cellar.
Can also be used as a rainwater barrel. Drill a hole for a tap in the bottom of the barrel. At the top of the barrel, drill a hole for a hose from the drainpipe. In most hardware stores you can buy complete mounting kits for drainpipes. Remember to empty the water from the barrel before the winter frost arrives.
The barrel may be treated with oil or varnished to increase durability. Remember to install a filter/sieve in the hose to prevent dirt accumulating in the barrel.
The barrel may be leaky at first, but will eventually seal with time, when filled with water. Supplied untreated.
