No personal information registered on wineandbarrels.co.uk, will ever be transferred, sold or made available to third parties. All information is stored securely and is accessible only to trusted employees of wineandbarrels A/S.
In relation to all electronic payments we use a secure encrypted method in our webshop system. This is provided by an approved supplier with E-mark accreditation (official Danish accreditation for safe online trading).
During purchase we require your name, address, phone no. and email address. This information is used solely to process your order. This information is transmitted and stored electronically in encrypted form and stored for 5 years, subject to the Danish Bookkeeping Act. The "contract” itself (purchase agreement) is not stored by wineandbarrels.co.uk in such a way that you can later log in and view/change status.
In addition, we register the IP address from which any purchase is made. The information is normally not used, but can be accessed if required in relation to a police investigation. The IP address is stored as long as necessary in relation to any potential police investigation. All fraudulent orders will be reported to the police.
You can also have your email address included on our mailing list in order to receive news and other information from Wineandbarrels A/S. You can always subscribe and unsubscribe to this service as you wish.
When registered with wineandbarrels A/S, according to the Processing of Personal Data Act, Denmark, you always retain the right to object to the registration and to gain insight into the information that we hold about you. You can do this by contacting Wineandbarrels A/S. In the light of any objections we will erase data to the desired extent.

Wineandbarrels A/S accepts payment via MasterCard, Eurocard, Visa, Visa Electron, JCB and American Express. Payment will be debited from your account once the product(s) has/have been shipped.
No card fee will be charged for use of MasterCard, Eurocard, Visa, Visa Electron, JCB and American Express card.
Wineandbarrels A/S encrypts all information using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol. This means that unauthorized persons can not read your card number or other information during the transaction with PBS / NETS.
Goods are normally delivered within 3-5 business days. If the item is not in stock, there will usually be a delivery time of 3-4 weeks.
We always send an e-mail confirming expected delivery time as far as we know it.
Delivery of goods:
Wineandbarrels A / S ensures delivery by UPS, GLS, DHL or DSV.
Timely delivery requires however that UPS, GLS, DHL or DSV comply with the delivery agreement. If there are delays at UPS, GLS, DHL or DSV, this will delay the delivery in relation to the desired delivery date.
Wineandbarrels A / S shall not be held responsible for delays by either UPS, GLS, DHL or DSV. In cases of very late (several days) or outright missed deliveries, Wineandbarrels A/S will, of course, send a new delivery free of charge.
Shipping to unbridged islands is possible. We always offer a price with the cheapest reliable shipping method which you will have the opportunity to approve and pay before shipment.
Carry-in service in the UK
We offer a carry-in delivery service for most wine fridges in the United Kingdom through a specialised delivery partner. The price is 79 GBP.
Prerequisites for Carry-in service
- It must be possible to perform the service by two professionals with a hand truck
- We will contact you when we receive your order and request images and/or video to assess the accessibility of the delivery destination.
- Our assessment of the images/video showing the accessibility will determine if it is possible for two professionals with a hand truck
If there is nobody at the delivery address to accept delivery, the delivery team will drive back with the goods and try a re-delivery unless you have instructed the delivey team to place the goods on a specific location. If you refuse receival to have the goods delivered another day it will count as a re-delivery. The price of re-delivery is 30 GBP.
Wineandbarrels A / S provides 2 years warranty under the Sale of Goods Act (Denmark) including deficiencies identified during normal use of the goods. The warranty does not cover defects or damages directly or indirectly caused by misuse, poor maintenance, abuse or unauthorised tampering. Complaints about defects must be notified to Wineandbarrels A/S within a reasonable amount of time after the defect or deficiency is discovered or should have been discovered. In connection with complaints Wineandbarrels A/S will cover shipping costs to a reasonable extent.

Items should be returned to the following address: Wineandbarrels A/S, c/o Rhenus Home Delivery Ltd, Unit 7, New Cheshire Business Park, Wincham Lane, Northwich CW9 6GG. Note: We do not accept packages sent COD. Order processing will be more efficient if adequate information is included with the package, such as a copy of the order confirmation/previous correspondence and reg. number and account number of the bank account to which reimbursement may be made.
In the case of agreed discounts, returned goods or prepaid items that are canceled before shipment, there will be a full or partial refund of the purchase price. Reimbursement is almost always carried out via bank transfer and Wineandbarrels A/S therefore require information about IBAN number and Swift code.
There is a 28 day return policy on goods, from the date the goods are received, or from the day you receive the order confirmation, if you should receive this after the goods have been delivered. If you choose to cancel a purchase, simply return the item in the same condition that you received it.
The purchase agreement can also be cancelled by not accepting delivery of the goods, or by returning the goods in person at Wineandbarrels A/S. When goods are received and approved, the purchase price will be refunded to your bank account within a few days. Expenses incurred by returning goods will be borne by the customer.
