Two-prong cork puller (Ah-So) – for older wines

When opening older wines, the greatest risk is not the wine – but the cork. A two-prong cork puller is the preferred choice when the cork is delicate and needs to be removed in one piece.

By gripping the cork from the sides rather than drilling through it, the risk of crumbling is significantly reduced. This is especially important for old bottles, where one failed attempt can ruin the entire experience.

This type of cork puller is also known as Ah-So or Bilame (French) and is an indispensable complement to the classic waiter’s corkscrew.
